The furious brother of a sex assault victim has taken the internet by storm after his rant against the attacker was set to music and posted on YouTube. Antoine Dodson, who lives in the impoverished neighbourhood of Lincoln Park in Alabama, U.S., unleashed a comical tirade at a local news reporter which has since been turned into song by a New York duo. It has attracted more than 30million hits on YouTube - and given Dobson a new career. While the original interview whipped up a frenzy of interest online, it was ramped up to stratospheric levels with the release of a parody song Bed Intruder by The Gregory Brothers who run a popular YouTube channel, AutoTune The News. The Gregory Brothers - Evan, Andrew, Michael and Evan's wife Sarah - are splitting the revenue 50/50, with Dodson credited as co-writer. The song is the most popular remix of the report has to be by the Youtube channel ‘Autotune The News’. In the Bed Intruder song they have taken many of the characters from the report and autotuned their voices, put to a catchy backing track. This video has since been played 7.1million times. Such was the success of the song, and by popular request, a re-recorded version was put on Youtube alongside a release on iTunes which is gaining popularity. This extended iTunes version has got 1.3 million views itself.
